I finally said to the producer, do you want me to cut you a check for 15 dollars? Because this is how much extra the the materials are that I used and my company isnt obligated to give you any extra materials that are left over and I'm not billing you for the extra 2 hours I spent working on this. The producer said they felt like "you are taking advantage of us" It was $15 dollars of extra materials, which was already included in the original bid. They complained about me doing extra work to make the thing actually look good. Yeah I got bitched out by the producer on the show that I was contacted to work on. Now if this guy knows barely anything about cars I can guarantee you he knows nothing about boats!! He’s a hardcore harley guy that would laugh in your face if you tried to get him to get a bike like that! Also he knows next to nothing about cars! So him actually owning that huge blown motor is complete BS! And then lastly the best part that made me laugh was that they claimed it came out of a boat. A guy I personally know!! I can honestly tell you that’s not where he lives. They apparently “traded” a honda steampunk bike to a guy that had a massive blown engine. Because I finally saw the extent they would go to stage everything! It wasn’t til I got to episode 5 that I gave up on the show. I also got a kick out of how they and netflix thought they could convince people that if you polished a turd of a rust bucket into something halfway decent you could charge crackhead prices for it. Of course who doesn’t enjoy the novelty eye candy (Constance) that they insisted putting in the show to get views. So being a gear head myself & knowing that it’s heavily scripted I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Although I didn’t really know he was mechanically savvy at all. Like seriously the only real thing about the show is the city of temecula and all the locations they film.Īfter living in one of the next towns close to where they film this for 10+ years & being heavily involved in the local car community in the area I can honestly say I’ve never heard of “Mark Towle” or any of his crew, except for caveman. This show is so scripted is almost not even funny.
